UK Trip

This summer I am spending 2 months traveling the UK and researching The Diagnosis and Treatment Process of Idiopathic Dystonias. In addition to research I will be site seeing and going to as many places as possible. This blog is a collection of pictures and stories from along the way.

Barcelona

I finally got the email today saying that my research was accepted to the international dystonia symposium. This means I will be standing with my poster to explain my research to interested people. Also 2 posters will be chosen each day to present to the entire symposium (and will win 500 euros). I am very excited for the opportunity to network with the top specialists. And to learn an amazing amount about cutting edge dystonia research….in one of the most beautiful cities in the world. Thanks everyone who helped me and supported my obsessive research interests. :)

Part 2

It’s now that the jet lag is wearing off that I am starting to realize that this last month of summer is really part two of my richter. Writing this paper (and the other 2 I have signed myself up for) is proving to be quite difficult. I am excited for the possibility of being published but nervous to make the product. I want perfection and I am not an english major. Struggles.

The Final Day!!!

Things have been great today. I slept in (total of 11 hours haha), woke up to all 19ish roommates gone, long shower (unheard of in the hostel), dance party while getting ready for the day (see playlist below), sunshine in london, mini shopping spree at the Arsenal Football store (the presh ginger remembered me and asked me 5000 questions), made friends at the tube station, danced a bit on the tube (bucket list after seeing a break dancer get it on the tube), and now I am sitting at Starbucks planning out my gift for the Butler’s. SO PUMPED!! I think they will love it.

Playlist:
Hair - Lady Gaga
Fight for this Love - Cheryl Cole
Tunechi’s Back - Lil Wayne (real crowd pleaser in London haha)
